Rachael Parker is an artist, arts advocate, and ArtsWave’s Director, Northern Kentucky Creative Placemaking. She is an impact-driven leader, focused on deepening community connections and collaboratively building a vision for leveraging arts and culture to create inclusive, thriving spaces in Northern Kentucky through a groundbreaking partnership with meetNKY.
Born and raised in Maysville, Kentucky. Rachael is a proud graduate of Berea College, where she studied English Writing and Art History, and worked as textile weaver for the Arts and Crafts Labor Program, as well as to study abroad in Florence, Italy. She continues to support the efforts of Berea College, Teach For America- AmeriCorps, and Leadership for Educational Equity as an active alumna.
She has been recognized during her years of nonprofit management with the ‘Nonprofit of the Year’ Award from the OTR Chamber of Commerce, ‘Community Organization of the Year’ Award from The Gaskins Foundation, and most recently, graduated from the YWCA Rising Star Program and Accelerate KY 2025 Cohort.
In her spare time, you will find Rachael writing, traveling, weaving, rooting for her UK Wildcats, and enjoying time with friends and family.
